Devin Walker ran for two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to rally Salem to an 18-9 victory over Woodstown in the 101st Thanksgiving meeting between the schools yesterday in Woodstown. Salem leads the series, the fifth longest in state history, 57-34. There have been 10 ties.
Woodstown opened a 9-6 lead in the fourth quarter when L.J. Stanford connected on a 15-yard scoring pass to Nick Rammel and Anthoni Santiago booted the extra point. That followed a safety by Woodstown's Jake Prus in the third quarter and wiped out Salem's 6-0 halftime lead forged by Walker's 18-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Salem regained the lead with Walker's 80-yard touchdown run which was followed by a 93-yard gallop by Walker.
Rashar Gray ran for 152 yards on 20 carries for Woodstown.
