Out of an abundance of caution, the dance will be outside under a tent, in the gated area adjacent to the student parking lot and senior patio. There will be a tent, and an actual dance floor, but keep in mind (regarding shoe selection) that you’ll need to walk across grass at some point.

·      Tickets for the dance are on sale from Friday, October 1st through Thursday, October 7th. Tickets are $15 per person, on sale during all lunch periods in the D-wing hall by the senior patio, and afterschool in the school library. Payment by cash/check to Salem High School.

·      No outside guests are permitted, only students enrolled at SHS will be allowed to attend the dance.

·      Attire is semi-formal.  Dress Code Expectation is a collared shirt or a modest and appropriate dress. Dress appropriately for outside and shoes must be always worn.

·      Bags/purses, etc. must be checked at the bag-check in the cafeteria the evening of the dance.  These items will not be allowed in the dance area. The bag-check will be supervised by teacher volunteers.

·      There will be a small concession stand, with an assortment of snacks and beverages for purchase for $.50 each. No outside food or drink will be permitted.

·      As we will be outside, masks are optional. Students will be reminded to practice social distancing; we recommend that students wear masks when social distancing cannot occur.

·      Students will enter the dance from the student parking lot, through the B-wing Gym entrance.  Students must arrive by 8 pm.

·      Students will not be allowed to return to their cars once they enter the dance. No re-entry will be allowed: For example: Students will not be allowed to go to their cars and/or meet people in the parking lot.

·      At the conclusion of the dance, students will exit through the same doors, pick up will be in the student parking lot. Students should have a ride arrive promptly at the end of the dance.

Please remember to abide by all SHS rules – no drugs, alcohol, tobacco products or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
