John Fenwick Academy in Salem dedicated its new mosaic mural with an assembly on June 8. The title for the mural was "Make Healthy Choices."

The assembly included a video documenting the making of the mural and several students talking about their experience working on the mosaic. 

Artist Jessica Liddell and art teacher Rebekah Cohen worked with students in kindergarten through second grade making and glazing clay tiles for the mural.

Some of the images included: fruits and vegetables, sports equipment, kids exercising and a path of sneakers leading up to a bright sun. 

Most of the funding was from Perkins Center for the Arts with additional funding from Salem Health and Wellness, The Fraternal Order of Eagles and John Fenwick Academy's PTO.
