Basketball players Alycia Chapman and Aaron Henry have been named Salem Community College’s Student-Athletes of the Month for November.
Chapman, a sophomore, shows tenacity and grit and is a valuable contributor to the Oaks’ starting the season 2-0 in conference.
In addition to her success on the court, Alycia manages a full course load as a nursing student.
She continues to excel in the classroom and exhibit the commitment of a student athlete.
Chapman attended Salem High School.
Henry, a sophomore and co-captain, has demonstrated he is one of the best shooters in the conference.
So far this season he is averaging 12 point per game while
shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 48 percent from behind the arc.
In addition to his success on the court, Aaron and several members of the men’s basketball team volunteered at a backpack give-away at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Aaron continues to work hard in the classroom as a sports management major.
Henry attended William Penn High School and resides in New Castle, Del.
